DROP A LITTLE. GROW A LOT.

Fruit Merge Game

Drop matching fruits and grow a watermelon.

Getting the fruit basket ready…

How to Play

  1. Aim and drop

Move your pointer or drag on the game to aim. Click, tap, or release your finger to drop a fruit. Watch the next fruit before choosing a spot.

  2. Merge matching fruits

Two fruits of the same kind merge on contact into a larger fruit. Each merge earns points. Follow the evolution chain from Cherry to Watermelon.

  3. Make a watermelon

Reach your first Watermelon and keep playing for a higher score. Merge two Watermelons to clear them and earn 2,048 points.

  4. Keep below the line

Keep the pile below the danger line. Once a fruit has landed, remaining above the line for two continuous seconds ends the run. Merging can bring the pile back down.

Controls

On a computer, move your pointer to aim and click to drop. On a phone or tablet, tap to drop, or drag to aim and release. To use a keyboard, focus the basket and use Left and Right to aim, then Space or Enter to drop. There is a short 400ms pause between drops. Use Pause to take a break; switching away from the page pauses automatically. Sound starts off. The timer begins on your first drop, and pauses with the game.

Tips

  • Check the next fruit before choosing where to drop.
  • Keep matching fruits close enough to meet.
  • Leave room for a larger fruit after each merge.
  • Slow down when the pile approaches the danger line. A timely merge can save the run.

FAQ

Is Fruit Merge free to play?

Yes. Play in your browser with no download, account, purchases, or ads.

What happens when I make a watermelon?

Your first Watermelon triggers a short celebration and the run continues. Two matching Watermelons disappear on contact and award 2,048 points, opening space for more fruit.

How does scoring work?

Dropping a fruit does not score points. Merging two Cherries earns 2 points, and each next result doubles that reward, up to 1,024 points for creating a Watermelon. Clearing two Watermelons earns 2,048 points.

Why did my game end?

A fruit that has touched another fruit or the floor stayed above the danger line for two continuous seconds. A freshly dropped fruit is exempt until that first contact. Newly merged fruits are checked immediately, with the same two-second grace period.

Will my progress be saved?

No. Opening or refreshing the game starts a new visit with a fresh run and default settings. Your best score, fruit discoveries, and sound setting last only for this page visit. Restarting within the page keeps your visit best and discoveries.

Can I pause or undo a drop?

You can pause and resume at any time. Physics and the timer stop together, and switching away from the page pauses automatically. Return and choose Resume to continue. There is no undo.

Can I play with a keyboard?

Yes. Focus the game canvas, use the Left and Right arrow keys to aim, then press Space or Enter to drop. Holding a key does not trigger repeated drops.
