How to Play Cat Merge

Pick a landing spot
Move your mouse or drag to aim. Click, tap, or release inside the basket to drop a cat. Check the next cat before choosing a spot.
Match your cats
Two identical cats merge when they touch, becoming one bigger cat. Start with Pip, Biscuit, Pebble, and Mochi, then discover the rest of the eleven-cat growth chain.
Meet Sunbeam
Merge through Socks, Ginger, Willow, Misty, Cocoa, and Cloud. Bring two Clouds together to make Sunbeam, the biggest cat, and win the run.
Keep the basket comfortable
Leave room below the dashed line. Once a cat has touched another cat or the floor, staying above the line for two continuous seconds ends the run. A timely merge can make more space.

Controls

Use your mouse to aim and click to drop. On a phone or tablet, tap a spot or drag to aim, then release inside the basket. Release outside to cancel. For keyboard play, focus the basket, use Left and Right to aim, then Space or Enter to drop. Pause takes a break; Restart starts a fresh run. Sound starts off.

Tips for a Happier Basket

Keep matching coats close together. A small kitten can get between two bigger cats.
Watch the next cat and leave a landing spot for its match.
A bigger cat needs more room. Spread the pile rather than building one tall tower.
Near the line, look for a match that opens space lower in the basket.

What is Cat Merge?

Cat Merge is a physics drop-and-merge puzzle. Place cats in a basket, match identical cats, and grow eleven original characters from tiny Pip to sunny Sunbeam. Each cat has its own name and coat.

How do I win Cat Merge?

Merge two Clouds into Sunbeam to win. The cats and timer stop at the goal. Reaching Sunbeam wins if a cat also reaches its danger limit in the same physics step.

Which cats can I drop?

Pip, Biscuit, Pebble, and Mochi are equally likely to appear. All larger cats must be made by merging. Your next cat is always visible, and there is a 450ms delay between valid drops.

How does scoring work?

Every merge earns points for the new cat: Biscuit earns 4, Pebble 8, Mochi 16, and each following cat doubles that reward, up to 2,048 points for Sunbeam. Dropping a cat earns no points.

Why did my run end?

A cat remained above the dashed line for two continuous seconds after touching another cat or the floor. A falling cat is exempt until that first contact. Moving below the line or merging away clears its warning.

Can I play on a phone or with a keyboard?

Yes. Tap to drop, or drag and release inside the basket. Releasing outside cancels the drop. With a keyboard, focus the basket, use Left and Right to aim, and Space or Enter to drop.

Can I pause, undo, or save?

Pause freezes the cats and timer together. Switching away pauses automatically, and you choose Resume when you return. There is no undo or save. Your timer starts on the first valid drop; visit best and sound settings reset when you open, refresh, or return to the page through browser history. Restart keeps your visit best.

Is Cat Merge free?

Yes. Play in your browser on a phone, tablet, or computer with no download, account, purchases, or ads. Sound starts off and can be enabled during play.
