How to Play Emoji Merge

  1. Aim a smile

    Move your mouse or drag to aim, then click, tap, or release inside the container. Check the next face before choosing a spot.

  2. Match and grow

    Two identical faces merge on contact into the next expression. Grow through Smile, Wink, Cheeky, Cool, Heart Eyes, Giggle, Starstruck, Party, Bliss, Superstar, and Finale.

  3. Clear a Finale pair

    Making Finale does not end the run. Bring two Finales together to clear both, earn 4,096 points, and open space for more matches. Keep playing for a higher score.

  4. Keep some space

    Stay below the dashed line. After a face has touched another face or the floor, remaining above the line for two continuous seconds ends the run. Merges and Finale clears happen before the danger check.

Controls

Aim with your mouse and click, or tap on a phone or tablet. Drag to aim and release inside the container; release outside to cancel. For keyboard play, focus the container and use Left and Right, then Space or Enter to drop. Pause freezes the run. Restart starts fresh, and sound starts off.

Tips for a Longer Run

  • Use the next-face preview to keep a matching landing spot open.
  • Group matching expressions without trapping small faces between larger ones.
  • Keep your Finales close enough to meet. A pair clear opens valuable space.
  • Spread the pile and avoid a single tall tower near the danger line.

What is Emoji Merge?

Emoji Merge is an endless physics puzzle with eleven original illustrated faces. Drop matching expressions, grow bigger faces, and clear pairs of the highest-level Finale to keep scoring.

Does reaching Finale win the game?

No. This is an endless score chase. Creating a Finale earns 2,048 points; matching two Finales clears them for 4,096 points. The run continues until a face stays above the danger line for two continuous seconds after its first contact.

Which faces appear next?

Smile appears 40% of the time, Wink 30%, Cheeky 20%, and Cool 10%. Larger faces must be made by merging. Your next face is always shown, and valid drops have a 400ms cooldown.

How does scoring work?

Dropping earns no points. Each merge scores for the new face: Wink earns 4 points, Cheeky 8, and each following level doubles the reward up to 2,048 for Finale. Clearing two Finales earns 4,096 points and adds one to your Finale pairs count.

Can a clear save me near the line?

Yes. All merges and Finale pair clears in a physics step resolve before danger is checked. A face that merges away or moves below the line loses its warning, but any other face above the line can still end the run.

How do I control Emoji Merge?

Use your mouse to aim and click, or tap on a phone or tablet. Drag to aim and release inside the container to drop; release outside to cancel. With the container focused, Left and Right aim, and Space or Enter drops.

Can I pause or save my run?

Pause freezes the faces and timer. Switching away pauses automatically; choose Resume when you return. There is no undo or save. The timer starts on the first valid drop. Restart keeps your visit best, but clears the run, timer, and Finale pairs. Refreshing, reopening, or returning through browser history starts a new visit with default settings.

Is Emoji Merge free, and are these system emojis?

The game is free with no download, account, purchases, or ads. The faces are original local vector illustrations, not system emoji fonts. Sound starts off and is synthesized locally when enabled.
